POSITION SUMMARY:
Installation and maintenance of natural gas pipeline
Responsibilities
Responsible for digging trenches, installing sewer, water and natural gas pipelines; and backfilling excavations with asphalt on road Responsible for entering and exiting excavations varying in depth from 2’to 5’ Shovel dirt, rake dirt or hot asphalt, jackhammer roadways or sidewalks, jackhammer concrete Carry materials or equipment to and from the truck to a jobsite Use of a chop saw to cut concrete, use of a hammer drill to core through concrete foundations, entering basements or crawlspaces to perform necessary pipefitting or meter service work Use of a pneumatic rammer for excavation compaction Perform basic pipe fitting with pipe sizes from ½” to 2” Tapping and stopping off water or gas service tees from the main line, in addition to numerous push / pull activities associated to underground con...
