Job Description
The Safety Engineer is responsible for project-wide safety and health administration including reviewing specific on-site programs, performing site audits, participating in incident investigations, training personnel, assisting with managing workers’ compensation claims, and administering first aid when necessary. This position may interact with all personnel on a project site at various times. In this role you may be required to travel up to 40% of the time.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Administers both the GC and Owner safety program requirements.
+ Develops specific onsite programs, as required.
+ Performs site audits for unsafe practices, conditions-make recommendations and/or know specific regulation on proper corrections
+ Leads/performs accident investigations.
+ Trains personnel.
+ Reports WC claims and performs onsite WC administration for both Hoar Construction and subcontractor injuries.
