About the Role

General Urologist – Fixed‑term, full‑time (80 hours per fortnight, 1.0 FTE) Sabbatical Leave Cover, January – July 2026; Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital, Urology Department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient clinics, including first assessments, follow‑ups and procedures such as cystoscopy, prostate biopsy and urodynamics.
• Arrange investigations, plan treatment and provide non‑contact advice.
• Consult and provide opinions for inpatient management in cooperation with the unit registrar (Australasian urology trainee).
• Participate in urology on‑call roster (1 in 4).
• Perform acute and elective urology operations, including regular elective procedures.
• Provide phone advice to general practitioners and other medical colleagues.
• Deliver Urologist outpatient clinics in Hastings.
