Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Prepare ingredients (washing, peeling, cutting etc.)
- Prepare and serve daily meals (breakfast, lunch, and tea) for children and staff
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, pantry, and food storage areas
- Assist in ensuring there are sufficient ingredients for daily cooking
- Label and store the food properly to prevent spoilage and cross-contamination
- Responsible for replenishment of pantry snacks, water supply in classrooms and prepare refreshment for the meeting when applicable
- Assist with cleaning duties when the cleaner is not on duty
- Assist in serving meals for the children
- Other tasks assigned by the Principal
REQUIREMENTS - Prior cooking experience in childcare or similar environment preferred
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and food preparation
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards in childcare settings
