Responsibilities
- Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
- Operate a tandoor (clay oven)
- Cook breads, vegetarian and non‑vegetarian items in the tandoor
- Know exact cooking times for all items
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow
- Clean kitchen and work area as required
- Plan menus per client requirements and restaurant demand
- Determine food portions for all dishes
- Introduce new dishes
- Estimate food requirements and costs; monitor and order supplies
- Train kitchen staff
- Specialize in preparing and cooking ethnic cuisine and special dishes
