Job Description
Purpose:
Coordinates the overall credentialing/information technology process for physicians and limited health professionals at appointment/reappointment for the Department. Assists the Administrative Director in the development/ maintenance of procedure manuals for credentialing and medical staff information technology processes. Prepares on-call schedules, agendas for and attends Department and Committee meetings, records minutes, transcribes minutes from shorthand or dictaphone in final copy, and assists the Administrative Director and Medical Staff with other duties as outlined and required.
Responsibilities:
+ Takes dictation and transcribes from shorthand and/or dictation equipment.
+ Telephone communications including answering telephone & taking/relaying messages.
+ Maintains provisional Medical Staff review appointments/ information, notifies supervising physician, and prepares necessary correspondence promptly.
