Cytotechnologist provides clinical diagnostic study of cells for the purpose of recognizing and classifying malignant and benign inflammatory and irritative conditions.
Serving Galveston Island and the surrounding areas, UTMB has a diverse population that brings much interest to our workload. In addition to gynecological cases, our cytotechnologists evaluate non-gynecological/FNA specimens, and attend a variety of ROSE procedures. These include EBUS, EUS, radiology, and clinics. As a teaching facility, medical residents and fellows add to the learning experience and environment. We are committed to professional development and involve our techs in a myriad of projects from QA and statistical analysis to educational projects for presentation. In addition to these technical varieties, UTMB is a lovely place to work with caring people and great benefits.
