M&S has ambitious goals around dramatically increasing the level of Personalisation throughout the online shopping experience, and Data Science is at the heart of that. The Data Science Manager will manage, lead and inspire a talented and experienced team of data scientists to design, develop, and deploy machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions which deliver our online Personalisation programme. This role serves as a strategic bridge between Data Science and our Business & Commercial teams, ensuring the effective application of advanced methodologies to achieve measurable and meaningful business outcomes. By fostering innovation, building and supporting a high-performing team, and driving collaboration across functions including Product, Engineering and Data Engineering, the Data Science Manager is key to the success of a major part of M&Sās future.
