Position Summary

Responsibilities include preparing special meals or substitute items, regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters, and pulling food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator. The role ensures proper portioning, arrangement, garnish, and maintenance of food logs. The employee monitors the quality and quantity of food prepared, communicates assistance needs during busy periods, and informs the chef of excess items for daily specials. The candidate reports out-of-stock menu items to Food & Beverage service staff, prepares and cooks food according to recipes and quality standards, and prepares cold foods. Additionally, the employee assists management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching staff, serving as a role model and maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
