Minimum requirements:

• Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license Must have a current/active CPR certificate Bi-lingual English/Spanish Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: .Knowledge of dental terminology.


• Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices.
• Skills in using dental instruments and equipment and performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
• Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to manage time so can adequately treat patients but still treat the number of patients needed and in a timely manner.
• Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residents of Marion County.
