Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Deputy Head of Building Control for our client a government organisation in Barnet, London.This role is a permanent contract. The working arrangement will be hybrid working.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Lead and manage a team of Building Control professionals, providing supervision, technical guidance and support to ensure a high-quality service.
- Oversee the assessment of complex building control applications, including high-risk and specialist projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and technical standards.
- Carry out plan assessments, site inspections and technical reviews, making informed decisions on compliance matters and recommending appropriate actions where required.
- Lead the Building Control service's relationship with the Building Safety Regulator and other key stakeholders, ensuring regulatory obligations are met.
