A DevOps Engineer has a wide range of knowledge about development and operations, including coding, automation, infrastructure support, system administration, and DevOps toolset. DevOps is an increasingly common approach to agile software development that developers and operations teams use to build, test, deploy and monitor applications with speed, quality, and control. Our team has already successfully been taking advantage of industry standard automation tooling to ensure quality, simplify processes, and introduce other opportunities to improve our z/OS product releases process.
