Job Summary/Description:

The Digital News Content Creator is a motivated content creator for a social media audience at a TV news station. It requires knowledge of nonlinear video editing and graphic design specifically for use on social media platforms (, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram). Must be capable of editing news stories in various forms for various digital platforms. May have to occasionally work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Plan and edit video as assigned for KPTV's various digital platforms.
- Create custom social media graphics for KPTV's various digital platforms.
- Cut video from TV newscasts for use in articles on & YouTube.
- Monitor KPTV programming for compelling video that can be featured on our digital platforms.
- Communicate and collaborate as part of a team in the newsroom.
- Post content to social media.
