The Maintenance Director effectively and efficiently manages Maintenance Department performance to deliver results that consistently satisfy the requirements of the department’s various customer groups and which demonstrate measurable, sustainable improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct pre-employment interviews, hire and discharge as required in accordance with appropriate personnel policies.
Prepare and conduct performance appraisals as required and recommend merit increases when applicable. Evaluate and institute progressive disciplinary actions as deemed necessary in accordance with appropriate directives.
Provide departmental orientation to newly hired Maintenance associates.
Plan daily shift assignments and activities, prepare monthly staffing schedule to include vacation and other planned absences.
Prepare on-call schedule and review and approve bi-weekly time and attendance reports.
