We are looking for an experienced Hardware R&D Director to lead and develop our hardware R&D organization. This is a senior leadership role for a hands‑on, business‑minded R&D professional who combines strong technical credibility with clear vision and decisive leadership.

As Hardware R&D Director, you will be responsible for the overall direction, performance and development of hardware R&D function. You will lead a team of 20 R&D professionals located in Forssa and Tampere and work closely with customers as well as internal stakeholders. This role is not purely hardware focused. You understand systems as a whole — how hardware, software and lifecycle requirements come together to create great solutions that perform reliably over decades.
