Purpose
The Inventory and Purchasing Manager oversees the Department
of Public Works (DPW) stock, storage facilities, and all matters related to the
DPW’s Inventory Control Program.
Essential Functions
Inventory and Purchasing Management
Conduct daily review of inventory transactions, purchase orders, and receipt activity to ensure accuracy and available funding; approve the inventory for posting to the ledger. Prepare monthly inventory value and cycle count activity reports and reconciliation reports of module value to the actual ledger value for all departmental warehouses. Review cycle count paperwork for compliance with departmental inventory policy; prepare and submit reports regarding review findings to appropriate management staff. Prepare year-end inventory va...
