Job Description
- To assist the Chief Engineer in all matters related to the implementation of an effective budget control.
- To check wastage and ensure optimum usage of material in the operation.
- To observe and report energy wastage.
- To replace the Chief Engineer in all cases of his absence from duty as requested.
- To supervise technicians under his responsibility for performance, quality of workmanship and attendance at work.
- To ensure that after completion of each job the place of work is left in clean condition, with particular emphasis on guests’ areas.
- To inspect regularly the function and safe operation of all equipment under his jurisdiction.
- To control and verify all engineering logbook entries.
- To control closely, the consumption of material by tradesmen of his shift.
