Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Federal Coordinated Health Care Office. As a Economist, GS-0110-13, you will perform economic analyses of health care financing and delivery issues and their connection with CMS programs-including Medicare, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Marketplace. Responsibilities Conducts advanced economic analysis related to Original Medicare claims data, Medicare Advantage encounter data, risk adjustment, or other CMS priorities. Develops and applies economic models and data systems. Provides review and guidance on methodologies applied, analysis assumptions used, policy issues, and analysis results. Directs, coordinates, plans, designs, develops, and implements analyses of economic issues using mathematical models and statistical techniques.
