To be considered for MEMS EMT Rookie School, you must meet these requirements:

+ Achieved a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ Possess a current, valid Arkansas driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

+ Minimum age of 19 at the start of class.

+ Be physically fit and able to pass a physical examination.

+ Attained acceptable scores on a recent college placement exam. One option is the Accuplacer entrance exam, which is offered onsite at MEMS at no cost to the candidate. 

+ Pass a pre-employment drug screening. Please note this is a safety-sensitive position. 

+ Pass a criminal background check.
