**POSITION SUMMARY**

Under supervision, the incumbent at this level receives on-the-job training in various phases of engineering through specific assignments under close supervision. Tasks are routine in nature to provide experience and familiarization with the staff, engineering methods, practices, and programs of the company. Work is reviewed for accuracy, adequacy and conformance with prescribed procedures.

The Mechanical Engineer I will aid the Principal Mechanical Engineer in monitoring unit operations, completing capital and expense projects in support of plant operations, and assisting the Mechanical Integrity group with API inspection resolutions and ASME calculations.
