As an Engineering Manager, you’ll work closely with the VP of Engineering, the founding team, and your peers to scale the engineering organization while preserving a culture that values autonomy, high quality, and rapid delivery.
Engineering Manager Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 3–5 Engineers and hire an additional 3–5 Engineers, covering Product, Site Reliability, and Design specializations.
- Provide feedback on product and technical specifications to help engineers identify where to cut scope or improve quality, influencing decisions without making the final call.
- Develop engineers so they can independently handle large, loosely defined projects with minimal intervention.
- Engage in system debugging, shipping small bug fixes, and enhancing developer experience to keep engineering skills current while staying off the critical path.
