General Responsibilities:
Perform field and/or laboratory compliance testing on materials generally used in the construction industry (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). Training with certification is done in house by experienced project managers using online resources. Communication skills are important as there will be daily interaction with project managers, engineering technicians, and contractor representatives. A good driving record is important as company trucks are used to mobilize staff to project sites and to deliver samples to our laboratory for further testing and analysis. Field laptops are generally provided to tabulate, prepare, and submit digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.
