Scope of Responsibilities
The English as an Additional Language (EAL) Teacher shall be responsible for the implementation and support of English as an Additional Language policies and guidelines within schools. The EAL Teacher will assist in the assessment of needs to determine allocation of staff and resources for schools, provide leadership in the development of regional EAL practices, plan and facilitate professional development for teachers as required, develop programs, provide instruction, and monitor the progress of EAL students within the region.
