**What to Expect**

As an **Equipment Operator** , you will work in the maintenance department of the Lake Charles Refinery. The positions are straight day jobs, subject to occasional shift work, turnarounds, call outs and mandatory overtime. You will run heavy equipment within the refinery and from time to time on public roadways. Equipment includes mobile cranes up to 120-ton capacity, backhoes, front end loaders, road graders, forklifts, cherry pickers, and trucks. This work takes place in all areas of the refinery, outside exposed to the weather elements and to blowing air, heat, noise, and vibration. The refinery processes involve hazardous and volatile materials under high temperatures and pressures.
