Role Summary: The Escrow Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the Escrow Closer/Settlement Officer. This role focuses on the "pre-closing" phase—gathering data, clearing title requirements, and ensuring the file is ready for the closing table.
File Opening: Input new orders into production software (e.g., Qualia, SoftPro, or RamQuest) and order title searches and tax certifications.
Requirement Clearing: Review title commitments to identify and clear liens, judgments, and HOA requirements.
Coordination: Communicate daily with real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys to gather "payoff demands" and homeowner insurance information.
