ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Tutor

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated ESOL Tutor to join the Education team at HMP & YOI Peterborough. In this rewarding role, you will support learners in improving their English language, communication, and literacy skills through Gateway ESOL qualifications from Entry Level 1 to Entry Level 3.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging ESOL lessons to learners at varying ability levels.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons using effective schemes of work and lesson plans.
• Support learners in achieving accredited Gateway ESOL qualifications.
• Monitor learner attendance, achievement, and progression, providing regular feedback and support.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that promotes confidence and self-esteem.
