Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of produce.
  • Run a section with the assistance of Commis Chef.
  • Assist in the management of a section with the assistance of Commis Chefs.
  • Prepare and cook food to restaurant‑specific standards.
  • Develop and supervise Commis Chef on section.
  • Implement waste controls and maintain section stock control and rotation.
  • Complete the cleaning schedule for the kitchen.
  • Understand functional administration of the restaurant (docket procedures, stations, table numbers, food labelling, etc.).
  • Have detailed knowledge of the full menu.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Comply with legal requirements under the H&S Act 1974 and food hygiene.
