Job Description:
The Summer Field Assistant role will assist with planting, pollinating, harvesting, shipping, weeding, preparing fields, preparing seed, collecting plant samples, and other field activities related to crop production and product development. This role will assist in the maintenance and improvement of farms and assets, provide support for the safety program by adhering to all safety policies, contribute by carrying out all assigned support duties, and perform assigned tasks accurately. SFA’s must be able to function as a team member and accept daily directions from supervisors. Outdoor conditions cannot be controlled and therefore the worker will be exposed to uneven walking/working surfaces, dirt, insects, temperature variations, and sunlight.
