The Manager Fleet Maintenance oversees a maintenance shop, fleet equipment, and assigned personnel. The incumbent implements and monitors maintenance policies and procedures to ensure that all repairs and maintenance to fleet equipment—including trucks (diesel and alternate fuel), machinery, containers, and other light/heavy‑duty equipment—are performed in compliance with the Republic Services safety and compliance standards, and with all federal and state regulations. The Manager Fleet Maintenance prepares reports on inspection findings and ensures proper vehicle maintenance to comply with prescribed safety regulations. The incumbent may also be responsible for negotiating vehicle and/or equipment purchase terms and specifications in coordination with the procurement function.
