**Description:** The Instrumentation Mechanic will spearhead the layout, fabrication, and assembly of custom instrumentation components for flight‑test aircraft and development projects where established procedures do not exist. Working from verbal instructions and rough engineering sketches, you will translate concepts into reliable hardware, performing any necessary fabrication operations to produce precision components. Your responsibilities include conducting functional checks and calibrations of direct‑reading aircraft instruments and electro‑mechanical sensors, installing and maintaining these devices on aircraft undergoing flight‑test evaluation, and determining optimal mounting locations to meet evolving engineering requirements. You will route and terminate fluid lines, harnesses, and electrical cables from sensors to visual indicators or data‑handling system inputs, verifying proper connections and signal integrity.
