General Accountant

Reporting to: Accounting/Accounts Payable Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger. Prepare and post journal entries. Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and subsidiary ledgers. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support budget preparation and variance analysis. Prepare schedules and reports required by management.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Ensure proper documentation and approval of expenses. Assist in payroll accounting and related reconciliations.
• Assist in tax preparation and filing requirements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations. Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation.
