Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Charge or delegate, the General Duty Cytotechnologist is responsible for clinical analysis and reporting on patient samples according to established protocols. The incumbent will assist in general lab projects such as SOPs and chemical inventories, maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines, ensure compliance with quality assurance programs, and uphold standards set by accreditation. Functions are conducted in accordance with the Mission and Values of Shared Health, current policies and procedures, and applicable legislation.
