Job Summary
Under the supervision and guidance of the Manager, Gift Shop, this position is responsible for processing all cash/credit sales transactions in a hospital gift shop environment. Interacts daily with all levels of internal and external customers. Maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment.

Essential Functions
+ Welcomes and greets customers entering gift shop. Responds factually to customer questions, provides information on merchandise and gift shop policies/procedures. Refers as appropriate.
+ Processes sales returns and merchandise exchange of gift shop items.
+ Processes sales for customers on CounterPoint register.
+ Accepts, receives and processes payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, employee and other debit programs. Ensures all prices and quantities are accurate and issues receipts, refunds, credit and/or change due.
+ Bags, boxes or wraps purchased merchandise.
