Health Care Assistant – START Taupo

Position type: Permanent, Part‑time (48 hours a fortnight) – Rostered. Location: Taupo.

This is a unique opportunity to move beyond the traditional hospital setting and make a tangible difference in patients' lives from the comfort of their own homes. As part of the Supported Transfer and Accelerated Rehab Team (START) you will provide high‑level personal care, support rehabilitation exercises, and document progress while working autonomously as a key member of the recovery team.

Responsibilities

• Travel across the Lakes District to visit patients recently discharged from hospital.
• Assist patients with daily living activities such as mobility exercises, personal care and meal preparation.
• Follow the specific rehabilitation plan designed by the clinical team.
