Job summary

You are invited to join University Hospitals Sussex as a Healthcare Support Worker. This development role will support you to complete your Care Certificate, undertake essential acute care competencies, and progress to a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker over a 6‑month period.

Main duties of the job

• Assist patients with personal care including hygiene, nutrition, and continence needs.
• Assist patients with mobilisation where appropriate.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height and weight, reporting any abnormalities to the qualified nurse.
