Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic – Working Shop Lead to join our team. This is a hands‑on leadership role in a fast‑paced shop environment. The successful candidate will be on the tools daily while also leading and coordinating shop operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy‑duty equipment
• Lead and support mechanics and apprentices on the shop floor
• Assign and prioritize work orders to maintain workflow and minimize downtime
• Assist with complex repairs and troubleshooting
• Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and shop standards are met
• Coordinate with management on job status, parts, and scheduling

Qualifications

• Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (Red Seal preferred)
• Valid CVIP License (Truck & Trailer)
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
