The HLD Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the processing of equipment requiring HLD in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the hospitals/endoscopy governing bodies. Performs all duties required to maintain the high standard of disinfection of all endoscopy equipment, TEE probes, and supplies. The position requires the employee to monitor and to perform quality testing as it pertains to HLD.

Responsibilities:

+ Performs HLD of all endoscopes and accessories post procedure including but not limited to: colonoscopes, EGD scopes, ERCP scopes, bronchoscopes, laryngoscopes and TEE probes.
+ Ensures 5 day re-processing of all scopes are completed.
+ Maintains current level of expertise in the HLD process for all departments. Demonstrates the proper care and handling of endoscopes and endoscope equipment.
