About WSAPC West Sussex Alternative Provision College (WSAPC) is an educational establishment based across the county on seven separate sites, providing education for pupils who are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion or too ill to attend school. Our ethos is to provide FOCUS (Future, Opportunities, Curriculum, Us, School) for our pupils to re‑engage them in their learning and support re‑integration to mainstream provision.
The Pastoral HLTA plays a key role in ensuring a calm, safe, and supportive environment that enables effective teaching and learning by actively managing behaviour, safeguarding concerns, and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day. The role is instrumental in upholding the school’s ethos of inclusion and trauma‑informed practice and acts as a daily behavioural lead, enabling teaching staff to focus on delivering high‑quality education.
