Clinical Research Fellow – Gastroenterology

Based within London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, we are looking for two Clinical Research Fellows to work primarily at St Mark’s Hospital.

The role combines part‑time clinical duties with a supervised research project in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Responsibilities

• Clinical work – Attend specialist IBD and gastroenterology clinics and endoscopy lists across the Trust, with an expectation of five service delivery sessions per week.
• Research – Register for a higher degree at Imperial College and conduct a supervised research project in IBD, applying for local and national funding early in the role.

Qualifications

Willingness to commit to part‑time clinical activity, obtain a higher degree, and pursue independent research. Prior experience in gastroenterology or related fields is desired.
