Position Overview
The Library Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the school library by assisting students and staff in accessing library resources, maintaining library records, organizing materials, and promoting a positive reading culture within the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist students and staff in locating books, digital resources, and reference materials.
- Issue, return, renew, and maintain records of library resources using the library management system.
- Catalogue, label, shelve, and organize books and learning resources.
- Maintain an orderly, welcoming, and student-friendly library environment.
- Support the Librarian in conducting reading programs, book fairs, author visits, and literacy initiatives.
