High school diploma required.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification required within one year of employment.
Must sit for first exam within first 6 months and receive certification status within 12 months.
Must be registered with the State of Iowa Board of Pharmacy required within 30 days of hire.
One to three years of previous pharmacy experience is desirable (or combination college and experience).
Must be able to type accurately, have basic knowledge of medical terms and abbreviations.
Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination are useful in preparing or assisting with preparation of orders.
