Itinerant Teacher for the Blind and Visually Impaired (BVI)

Location: Central Regional Office (Gander)

Competition End Date: June 25, 2026 8:00 AM

Training Method: PRIM/ELEM/SEC

Education Required: Bachelor of Education; Master of Educational Psychology (Blind or Visually Impaired) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Report to the Director of Student Services or designate and ensure student achievement and success for students who are blind or visually impaired.

Provide on‑site presence at the school(s) serviced, and engage in a blended service delivery model of direct and virtual services.

Apply the seven Determinants of the School Development Model—Wellness and Positive Relationships, Optimal Learning Environments, Instructional Practice, Assessment Practices, Collective Efficacy, Evidence‑based Decision Making, and Teachers as Learners—in instruction and support.
