An established and award-winning holistic technology services company with a national presence is seeking a Junior Security Engineer to join their dynamic Operations team in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

The Junior Security Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and troubleshooting security events across internal systems and customer environments. This includes analysing security incidents, supporting threat mitigation, and assisting in incident response within a SOC (Security Operations Centre) environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM platforms (e.g., Trellix, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) for threats and suspicious activity
• Analyse logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint, and network devices
• Investigate security alerts, determine root causes, and escalate threats as required
