Overview
Our Iwi and Māori Relations team is looking for 3 x Kaitohu Matua – Senior Advisors. These positions are full‑time, permanent opportunities. The team is responsible for providing advice to government and working with Iwi and Māori to support and enhance the Māori‑Crown relationship, delivering high‑quality strategic advice across Te Puni Kōkiri.
Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver strategic and operational advice to Ministers and Senior Leaders, including briefings, correspondence, and collaboration with other government agencies and regional teams.
- Support Crown engagement with iwi and key partners, participating in forums and events such as Waitangi Day and the National Iwi Chairs forum.
- Work across changing priorities and evolving contexts, applying sound judgement and navigating ambiguity to deliver high‑quality outcomes as part of a collaborative team environment.
