Job Description
Job Scope - Wash and clean laboratory glassware and apparatus, both manually and using machines.
- Perform soaking and washing of lab glassware according to designated room requirements.
- Wash and soak glassware/apparatus used for cigarette testing, clean ashtray, cartridge and holder.
- Work with diluted acids for soaking/cleaning apparatus/glassware.
- Perform general cleaning of centrifuge, sonicator, fume cupboards.
- Prepare bleach dilution solutions according to lab Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Operate simple equipment (glassware washer, autoclave, oven, Ultrapure water systems).
- Perform general housekeeping (cleaning and tidying of cupboards, ovens, refrigerators, freezers).
- Sweeping and mopping of floors.
- Clear general waste, chemical, biohazard and cytotoxic waste bins.
