This post is central to delivering effective patient care at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post will be primarily based in Basingstoke but you may be asked to attend other sites as required. 

The post holder would be on the resident Critical Care Reg on call rota. The on call duties would involve cover of the intensive care department and/or the operating theatres and obstetric anaesthesia.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include being part of the Senior Critical Care rota, when you will be covering theatres and the Critical Care Unit. Critical Care duties include handover regular ward rounds and assessment of critically unwell patients in A&E and on the wards, overseeing the emergency admissions. This is supported by a consultant in intensive care and consultant general anaesthetist, both non-resident.
