Job Summary This position creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD and QGIS tools and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by field engineering. Creates and contributes to high-level design to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards. Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, and industry-standard drafting. May work with system management including file maintenance, backup, and storage. Essential Function: Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS and layering, fundamental knowledge of Outside Plant, running line, conduit and cable design for fiber optics, manholes, hand holes, and poles (aerial and underground).
