**Job Description Summary**: The Lead Parts Engineer is an instrumental member of the Parts Engineering team responsible for the technical support of Engineered and Transactional flowpart quotes and orders.
The Parts Engineering team is a key element of the Steam Power Parts business, consisting of a cross functional team of commercial, fulfilment, engineering, materials management and sourcing colleagues that deliver critical parts to support GE Customers.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- The primary responsibilities of the Lead Parts Engineer is to support Should Cost initiatives and to provide engineering and/or CMPD support for urgent engineered flowpart quotes and orders.
This includes, but is not limited to some or all of the following activities:
- Supporting the Value Engineering - Should Cost program.
