Reports To: Engineering and Capital Manager
Summary: The Structural Engineer performs structural assessments of mine and plant infrastructure, evaluates and designs modifications to existing facilities to incorporate process upgrades, and prepares designs for fabrication of various structural components. This position works closely with operations personnel, maintenance personnel and engineering peers.
Essential Job Functions: Include but are not limited to the following:
Perform the necessary calculations and designs for various structures such as conveyor beltline systems, transfer towers, crusher and screen supports, material transfer/storage systems (loading pockets, chutes, support towers, shaft skipping, truck loadout, rail loadout, ship loader, bin storage/metering, live pile storage, surface dome storage) and foundations.
