The School of Education is seeking to appoint a capable and organised colleague to contribute to our work in Mathematics Education on a fixed term contract, 1 September 2026 – 31 July 2027.

You will join an established teaching team and contribute to the teaching of the Post Graduate Certificate in Education in the Mathematics course. This includes the personal tutoring of student teachers across the year. 

As well as enabling student teachers to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through school-based practice, the PGCE provides students with a theoretical grounding in Mathematics Education that draws on a rich range of perspectives. The programme promotes criticality, and reflective practice as a means of developing confident, creative and highly competent secondary (11-18) teachers. The successful candidate You will show the desire and capacity to play a full and active part in the life of the School.
